    Stitching out problems

Posted by Cheryl Hodson on Oct 2nd 2024

I love the design I stitched it ut at a retreat not using the right kind of stabilizer and it was awesome was asked to make 2 for a friend and I used what it said for stabilizer and I ruin 3 of them. I stitched it out then placed the back on it and the tear away tore away from the design not very happy scared to do the other I have purchase not gonna lie

DD2BD: I am sorry to hear this. You said you made one using a different stabilizer and it turned out great. What made you change stabilizers? The recommended is 2 layers of tear away, mind you, the sewer always has the choice of what to use. We have made this using tear-away (2 layers) and cut away and have never had problems. With that being said, I cannot know what type of tear away you used, but if your paper is tearing, you can always tape another piece on the back to prevent the design from falling off.
