The stitched version gives a placement line where I added batting and a background colour. The placement line was not far enough inside the stitch line so was unable to trim cleanly. DD2BD: Typically, batting tack down needs to be inside the normal applique tack down stitching line due to the thickness of batting. This design is NOT designed for batting.
